NURSING ASSISTANT/HHA TRAINING
Entrance Requirements

Must be 16 years of age

Must have a negative PPD reading or normal chest x-ray (that cannot be more than 12 months old at the time of clinical rotations)

Have a high school diploma or its equivalent or comprehend on a 10th grade level

Pass a basic English pre-entrance exam with a 100% score
-
Must have a satisfactory Criminal Background check through the CORI system before the 1st day of class

Must have proof of personal health insurance

Provide a valid picture ID

Admission Process

Must Pay a $43.50 non-refundable administrative cost

Complete the school application package

Complete the pre-entrance quiz in-person and score100%

Pay a $250.00 deposit/down payment to secure a spot in the class. This amount is deductible from the tuition. For example if tuition is $1,050.00 and you make a deposit of $250.00, your remaining balance will be $800.00

Sign an enrollment agreement, school policies and procedures, provide all supporting documentation and buy your textbooks and supplies

Class Days & Times
** Day classes start from 08:30AM – 2PM (Monday through Friday and one Saturday for clinical) and Evening classes start from 4:00PM – 9:30PM (Monday through Friday and one Saturday for clinical). This schedule is subject to change. See school calendar for more details.

How long is the program?
The Nursing Assistant Training Program is a 100 hours course that runs for 4 weeks.

How can I become a certified HHA after completing the nursing
assistant training?
Any student who wishes to obtain a Home Health Aide Certificate will be required to complete an additional 15 hours (per DPH) at an additional cost of $250.00.
